The Conditions
Al Hurley, the search manager for Coquitlam Search and Rescue said: “It was extremely wet and slippery, with very thick underbrush. The [infared sensor] was out with the helicopter yesterday and didn’t pick up any body heat, so that’s how thick the brush is. It’s a miracle to me that she seems in pretty good shape.”
When She Was Found
After the search and rescue crew had found her, they were extremely relieved that she was alive. They provided her with dry clothing and then was immediately long-lined out of the wilderness by a helicopter. Once she was safely out of the woods, she was taken to the hospital with an ambulance.
