It was the 1976 release of Blondie’s self-titled album that saw Debbie Harry shoot to fame. Her bleach-blonde hair was not only the inspiration for the name of the band but also saw this lead singer become a major icon in the punk scene. Their songs soon took over the planet as they shot to number one in the U.S. and U.K. Debbie saw out the ‘70s with the release of another album alongside appearing on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine.
