Over 25 years with the network, Sam Champion became one of the leading weather reporters for ABC. Sadly, the fan favorite left to manage The Weather Channel before moving on to NBC. Thankfully, Sam has since returned to ABC as a fill-in where he earns $2 million a year for his work.
