The news of the babies caused a bit of a stir. Fertility treatment had helped her fall pregnant, but fertility treatment had also presented them with a major issue. Some people suggested that the couple look into “selective reduction” which is the process of eliminating some embryos in order to afford others a greater chance of survival.
