A lot of times shows are cancelled when they have low ratings, but that wasn’t the case for Bewitched. The show was actually renewed for another two seasons before it went off the air. However, Montgomery felt that she had had enough of playing Samantha, and was also dealing with her divorce from Asher, so it was a perfect storm.
