Meet the Protagonists
The four men who managed to escape were named Clarence Anglin, John Anglin, Frank Lee Morris, and Allen West. Clarence and John were brothers and met Frank while at a different prison. Therefore, they trusted him, and Allen’s cell was close to the trio.

Frank Morris was a career criminal and went to Alcatraz because of his long history of crimes. He went into the foster care system as a child and got his first conviction at age 13. This spiraled into many more.
