The idea of community is a central part of the experience. Participants are called burners, and they’re always willing to help their fellow burners in need. Everyone is friendly and pro-actively helps each other be it with a bottle of water, extra clothes, or food.

People are encouraged to trade and share ideas and rather than just observe, they’re encouraged to participate. The foundation of the show is to show how both individual and social change can only happen when there’s personal and deep participation.
