Van Vleck House & Gardens

Originally a private estate, the Van Vleck House & Gardens was built be Joseph Van Vleck Sr in 1868. The Italianate villa and garden house many ericaceous plants and are open to the public year round. You can also host events here as well.

Montclair Art Museum

This museum is dedicated to including American and Native American art. It houses a collection of over 12,000 items including drawings, paintings, and sculptures that date all the way back from the 18th century to the present day. The museum is the only one in the world that has a dedicated gallery of works by American 19th century painter George Inness, who lived in Montclair from 1885 to 1894.

This community film festival showcases films from artists around the world and also helps put Montclair on the center stage. The annual festival began in 2012 and has hosted thousands of film lovers and critics to watch over 80 films screen each year at venues all around the city.

Located above Bradner’s Pharmacy, the bookshop specializes in general collections of nonfiction, fiction, biography, and history books with a special emphasis on educational, travel, poetry, and art books. Yogi Berra Stadium

The official home of the New Jersey Jackals and the Montclair State University Red Hawks. Named after the New York Yankees catcher legend and Hall of Famer Yogi Berra, the stadium has a capacity of 5000 people. The Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center is situated right next to the stadium as well. There are also two picnic areas, and outdoor birthday party area, and a game arcade and Kid’s Zone, as well as a souvenir shop.
